Swing, Solos, and Syncopation
The Pine View Jazz Combo includes a small number of advanced Jazz Band student musicians. This student-organized ensemble performs regularly at school, community, and private events in local venues, large and small. The nature of the group allows students to improvise melodies and accompaniments, which makes each performance special. The combo performs a wide variety of jazz music applicable to a variety of occasions. Their gigs have included the Sarasota Film Festival, the Giving Hunger the Blues Musical Festival, award and benefit dinners, as well as more intimate events such as weddings and art show openings.
