A Fundamental Purpose
Pine View Band, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, incorporated in 2009. The working name is Pine View Band Boosters and comprises an executive board of officers and members, including current and alumni parents.
The organization’s mission is to enhance music education and provide opportunities for every Pine View Band student while advancing the band program’s goals, as determined by the Band Director. Boosters support these goals by fundraising, volunteering, and encouraging parent and community involvement to ensure student success.
Like Ludwig van Beethoven, we believe that music can change the world. Music inspires and helps students to develop academically, creatively, and as individuals. Those who participate in Pine View’s Band program are rewarded with multiple new skills and personal growth. Students practice cooperation and collaboration while working towards group goals and the pursuit of excellence; simultaneously, they develop personal discipline and self-confidence. Studies show that students in music classes perform better in academics and on standardized tests. Notably, for many students, band becomes their most favorite part of the day—a shift from the traditional classroom environment, an opportunity to enjoy music, relieve stress, develop creativity, have fun, and build life-long friendships.
